Seol Cheong Kwon is an artist who investigates dualism, desire and estrangement in relation to the human body and psyche, and most specifically through portraiture. Drawing, photography, painting and writing consistently inform her work, regardless of the final medium.
Born in Korea in 1972, and raised in the United States, Seol Cheong Kwon studied at the School of the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston, and Haute Ecole d’Art et du Design, Geneva. Her work has been exhibited in both solo and group shows in Zürich, London, New York, Karlsruhe and Geneva, among others.
Seol lives and works in Switzerland.
